In the year 1999, Bro. Samuel Gently became the first missionary to come and stay in Ramdurg. God did many miracles and delivered many from sicknesses. The prayers of our missionaries had a great impact on the people of Ramdurg. Slowly people started to come to the Lord and a congregation was established.
Ramdurg is a small town located on the banks of the river Malaprabha. Because of its location near the river, Ramdurg developed as an agricultural area. People around this region are mostly farmers. Sugarcane business is a flourishing trade of this region. There are about 103 villages around this Talukhead quarters.
It was during the year 1980, the pioneering missionaries from Blessing Youth Mission visited this area. They found that there were no Churches for a total stretch of 206 kms. Hence they prayfully launched a programme called as SRLMJ which is a acronym of the five TalukHead quarters. They envisioned that a Church should be planted in all these places. They started off by preaching the Gospel. The missionaries team included- Bro. Y. Paul Dinakaran, Bro. R. Paul, Bro. Shanthakumar, Bro. Antony Babu, Bro. Arthur, Bro. Raju, Bro. Marshal and Bro. Francis. They distributed thousands of tracts in this region. This ministry of sowing the seed helped to prepare the hearts of the people.
In the year 2006, our lay leader and partner from Bangalore Mr. Ebenezer took interest in buying a land for the construction of a Church building. There was severe opposition for the construction of the Church. But God was helping the missionaries in each and every step. In the year 2009, a Church and a missionary quarters was dedicated for the Glory of God. Missionaries Bro. Suresh Siddi, Bro. Kempanna, Bro. Santhagouda, Bro. R. S Pawar and Bro. Moses also served the people here. Presently there are around 135 believers in the Ramdurg Church. There are other people groups like Bajantri, Kurubes, Voddur, Thalavur who are receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Also one can find lot of educational institutions and hostels in this small town. Almost every year programmes for students are held regularly.
Presently missionaries Albert Jeyaraj and Siddappa are along with their families stationed here. Pray for a rich harvest of the souls in this region.

Then, another team of missionaries came for an extensive survey of the region. This included Bro. Raja Krishnamoorthy, Bro. Sadamal, Bro. Regunathan, Bro. C. D. Kumar, Bro. Samuel Gently and Bro. Paul
