- A Concise Report
of Happenings in
the First Phase
(2014-2018)
Bless Bharat
The year was 2013. We, as a team of missionaries
and laymen came together in Blessing Literature
Centre(BLC) at Chennai for a time of prayer and
reflection. A layman who had been with us since the
inception of the Mission said that something must be
done so that our Nation could be blessed in our
generation. All the other people were wondering
whether as a single Mission we can plan for a
Nationwide movement. “Do we have the capacity?
Do we have the means? Do we have the strategy?”,
were the questions that were ringing in our hearts and
minds.
But we as a team decided to focus on the
promise of Blessing that was given to Blessing Youth
Mission - “There shall be showers of Blessing”(Eze
34:26). We decided not to look at the situation but to
the promise of God. In human terms it might be
impossible. But our God is the God of impossibilities.
“He that in us is greater than he that is in the world”.
And so, armed with these weapons, we decided to
move on. The course was charted. The project was
planned. The name was given. “Bless Bharat” was
born. We decided to go in a phased manner. The first
phase was planned for five years starting from 2014.
So here we are. The five years are over. We
expected some thing, but God worked in a different
way. His ways are always different. We planned for
certain targets. But God gave us more. We started to
focus in a small way. In order that our Nation would
be blessed, people should get focused. So we devised,
“Adopt-A- State”programme, through which we
challenged Christians to focus on one particular State
and work. Today there is a fresh laymen movement in
Northern States. Revival is built on prayers. We
planned for small praying groups everywhere and so
the programme, “Every Street A Prayer Cell”
(ESAP) was born. Hundreds of praying groups have
been formed as a result of this. God burdened us to
give the missionary passion to every Christian family
and so “Every Family A Missionary”(EFAM) was
born. He also inspired that unless and until every
born-again believer becomes an active soul-winner,
our Nation cannot be blessed. So came “Each One
Save One” (ESAV). Again, it was God's pure leading
that through the counsel of senior people in the
Mission, we thought that all this would be impossible
if the staff of Blessing Youth Mission are not
strengthened. After several consultations with the
field missionaries, Mission leaders, lay leaders,
member-care agencies we formulated what is called
as “Staff Individual Mentorship
Programme”(SIMP). All Glory to Him
The journey has started. But all these initiations
would not have been possible if it had not been the
partners who prayed and supported “Bless Bharat”
project. Many people ask us, “Brother what do we
need to do? Tell us”. Yes beloved, there is so much to
do. We need hundreds and thousands of volunteers for
this Nationwide movement. We need people who
would pray. We need people who can organize
Revival Meetings. We need people who would win
souls. We need people who would adopt a District, a
Mission Field, a Village, a Church and so on. We need
people who would support this movement.
Is your heart stirred by reading this? Then
respond to us. Involve with us. Pray with us. Labour
with us. Struggle with us. God has asked us to move
on. He has promised us His blessings. So let us
proceed together. There is a small hand-sized cloud
up there. Do you see it?
