From the Chairman...
I praise God for His faithfulness in leading us through yet another year. It gives me immense pleasure to meet
you through this letter. Blessing Youth Mission declared 2018 as the “Year of Integrity.” In our magazine and in our
camps we meditated on this subject. Many testified that the truth preached was rare in nature and was very much
necessary for the Church today. Let us treasure what we have learnt and continue to lead a life of integrity in this corrupt
generation.
We are declaring 2019 as the “Year of Watchfulness.” This is the apt theme considering the times in which we
live. The world events that we read in the Newspapers and the occurrences of continuous Natural calamities, all point to
the fact that we are nearing the End. As children of God we are called to be “watchful” in these last days. We shall
meditate on this subject during this year.
It was a joy when we were compiling the last year's Annual Report (April 2017 to March 2018). We could sense
the increase in awareness for revival praying and missionary work. The number of volunteering lay force is increasing
gradually. There is an increase in the number of teams visiting our fields (36 Teams). Just to mention a few outcomes of
our previous year ministry 16916 souls were reached through revival ministry, 4205 young people came to the Lord
through youth work and 5190 found Christ through Church Planting ministry. 6 new books were published and 32 were
reprinted. Another 54,277 people heard the Gospel during the previous Christmas alone. Our revamped website saw
5,542 visitors. We have also introduced online payment through our website. Under “Sitheri 2020”programme, the
new building for the hostel children is nearing its completion. The first phase of Bless Bharat project has been
completed. Under Bless Bharat, programmes like ESAP (Every Street A Prayer Cell), EFAM (Every Family A
Missionary) and ESAV (Each One SAVe one) are a blessing to the Church of God in general. All glory to God!
But there is lot more to be done. Mission Fields and Blessing Children's Homes in North India need to be
renovated. In order to accomplish this we are planning a programme called “Rebuild 2021”. We are also introducing
“ECAV” (Every Church A Village), through which we plan to encourage every church to adopt one village in the needy
places.
Thank you for your response to the appeal for funds to provide Christmas Allowance to the missionaries. The
gift amount was sent to them during the first week of December itself. May God reward you as you make His servants
happy. I personally want to thank all the Mission Mobilizers (Pledge Collectors) who take great pains to visit homes
and mobilize funds for the Mission. May God bless you abundantly!
We request your sincere prayers for the lay leaders and the missionaries of the Mission. Our Nation is going
through a challenging time and hence we need to increase our prayers and involvement. Let us also sincerely pray for
the upcoming LokSabha elections this year. Let God's will be done. Looking forward to work with you. On behalf of
the present leaders of the Mission and our General Overseer Mr. A.Lionel, and on my own behalf, I wish you all a
joyous New Year!
