Miracles
From The Field
25 Kilometers from our Mission field in North India,
a village was in complete darkness. People in that
feared the presence of evil spirits. The village itself is
named after evil spirits. It is in this village a woman
named Rekha was possessed by evil spirits. She
suffered for the past twenty years. She used to bite her
children and husband and scream at them. Her family
members tried all they can to keep her calm and
composed. They also tried various other forms of
treatment spending a lot of money. But it was of no
use. It was during this time, the villagers heard about
the Lord Jesus Christ. They invited the missionaries
to pray for her. They also told us that they would
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ if she was delivered
from the evil spirits.
Upon invitation, our missionaries visited the village
and requested the people to hear the Gospel of Jesus
Christ before praying for the woman. They prayed for
the woman and asked her to be in continuous
fellowship. Rekha was completely delivered. Praise
God!
On hearing the deliverance of Rekha, other people
from the same village started to attend the prayer
meetings. And they too were delivered. They started
to gather for prayer regularly in their village. They
believed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and are
saved now. Today, a small group of 14 gather for
prayer in this village.
Rekha is a part of this small fellowship in the village
which is named after evil spirits. Truly the people in
darkness have seen the Great light. Let us continue to
pray for the work of God which has been started here.
The new believers need to grow in the Lord and be
strengthened in the spirit.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be
proclaimed throughout the whole world as a
testimony to all nations, and then the end will
come” (Mat 24:14)
