God Is Always Awake
A little girl was timid in bed when the lights
were turned off. By-and-by she saw the moon shining. “Is the
moon God's light?” she asked. “Yes”, her mother said, the moon and the
stars are all God's lights.” “Will He turn of His lights and go to sleep?” “No”, replied
her mother, “God's lights are always burning.”
“Well, Mother,” said the child, “while God's
awake, I'm not afraid.”
