ASENATH Where She Was, There Was Home

Mark Twain, in his book,“ Adam and Eve,” portrays their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Though cut off from Paradise by the angels ' flaming swords, Adam says,“ Where Eve was, there was Eden.” For a while, in Joseph ' s life, it seemed nothing would ever be right again. No matter how honorably he acted, things seemed to turn out wrong. But then, in exile, far from home, Joseph found comfort in Asenath. Wherever she and her children were, Joseph said, there was home. Now please read Genesis chapters 40 and 41.
1. What happened when Joseph was put in prison with the King ' s prisoners?( Genesis 39:20-23........................... an astonishing vindication of Joseph ' s honor!
