Beautiful feet!
Sumangali & Jeremiah
In the year 1995, I joined Blessing Youth Mission as a full time missionary and I served in Sitheri field, which is the first mission field of BYM. I learnt a lot about ministry during those initial years. I served there for three years. I joined hands with my better half, Sumangali on July 4th 1998. She was also a committed missionary and was serving the Lord in the Headquarters of BYM at Vellore.
Our first place of ministry after marriage was in Rajasthan. We learnt Hindi language and started ministering there. In the year 2000, I met with an accident and my left leg got fractured. Since our burden was to minister in the Hindiheart land, we shifted to Madhya Pradesh. We ministered in a rural place where we brought 52 souls to the Lord in three years. Later on, we moved to another mission field in Madhya Pradesh and were burdened about the Ahirwaar people group. We started to train native evangelists and to work among them. God was gracious and He gave us a big harvest during those days. As we preached the Gospel, God confirmed His Word through signs and wonders. Small worship groups were formed in many places. Glory be to God.
I( Jeremiah) was the seventh child born to a Hindu couple in a remote village in Tamil Nadu. Since I was the seventh child, I was not wanted by my family and my parents tried to get me aborted. But by God ' s abundant grace, I survived and I was born according to Jeremiah 1:5. There was no Christian witness in my village. Gospel came to our village through an outreach ministry by a Church. My brother was suffering from a strange disease and he was healed through the prayers of those people. My brother became the first believer in the village.
When I was studying tenth standard, I was put in a hostel. It was there I started to reading the Bible and my relationship with the Lord grew steadily. The Word of God started working in me and I was burdened by seeing the plight of people who did not know Christ. I committed my life for the service of the Lord. I counted it worthy to preach to the dying masses than to pursue a career of my own.
In the year 2015, we shifted to a more receptive area in Uttar Pradesh. There are totally 1.5 lakh Ahirwaars in this area. In the last three years, we could raise 4 worship groups with the help of the native evangelists. Pray that there will be a great harvest in the days to come.
God has blessed us with two children. The elder daughter Jennifer is in 11th standard and the younger son Jesmen is in 8th standard. Pray for our children.
Pray that we would be able to fulfill God ' s purpose in our lives.
