They shall be brought before governors and kings for His Name (Matt 10:17,18). Mat 10:21,22 - “Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” All things foretold by Jesus is happening all over the world now. All the Apostles except John died as a martyr. Although he died of a natural cause, he suffered for Christ's sake on the island of Patmos (Rev 1:9). Sufferings were the marks of the early Christians. The Apostles strengthened the disciples exhorting them to continue in faith. The Apostles never prayed for persecution to stop but for boldness (Act 4:29-31).
