January 2020 | www.bymonline.org | Page 3 From the Chairman... Dearly beloved in Christ, What a joy it is to meet you through this letter at the beginning of a New Year! It is 2020 a year we have looked forward ambitiously. Before chalking out our plans for this year, let us gratefully thank the Lord who has been faithful to us in our personal, social and ministerial lives. He has led us thus far. He is Ebenezer and His mercies never end. He will lead us till the end. What a faithful God we have! Blessing Youth Mission declared last year as the “Year of Watchfulness.” God the Holy Spirit dealt with us in a special way warning us about the wrong doctrines and also to be watchful with regard to our personal lives. Month after month, we mediated on this subject. Indeed, it was a serious time of self-analysis and course correction. God humbled us and sanctified us. All praise be to Him! As Blessing Youth Mission, we are declaring 2020 as the “Year of Remnant”. It is based on Isaiah 37:31 - “And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward.” It is an encouraging theme which propels us to action in spite of being small, insignificant and weak. People who stand for truth and holiness are becoming an endangered species. But God is encouraging this small remnant in the Church of God to stay focused and strong in spite of being the minority. We will be meditating on this theme in our magazine and in our major camps. There were some notable ministerial happenings during the last year. The number of programmes conducted, and the extent of people reached is increasing day by day. Praise God! The recently held Tamil Nadu Key Persons Meet was a blessing to 200 people. All the ministerial wings like the Deborah Wing, Students for Jesus (SFJ), Bless Bharat Team and Nehemiah Team are witnessing an increase in the fruit of their labour. On the Mission Front, the number of contacts established, congregations raised is also on the rise. All Glory to Him! But as the ministry expands and grows, we need to strengthen our missionaries and partners. Hence, we have planned a series of strategies to visit and strengthen them. We also remember our missionaries who have retired. Wherever possible, we are using them for the betterment of the Kingdom. As we are entering the 50th year of the ministry of Blessing Youth Mission, we plan to renovate all our Mission Stations, Children Homes and Missionary Quarters. The Rebuild team is working in this regard. Addressing the needs of the Missionary Kids' education is another area of concern. We need your fervent prayers for this. We are saddened by the sudden demise of our missionary AbhimonueBhatra who served in Odisha. May God comfort the bereaving family. By the grace of God, I have completed my first year as the Chairman of our Mission. I thank you for all your support and cooperation. A special thanks to the Mission Mobilizers (Pledge Collectors) who act like a backbone for our ministry. Along with our General Overseer Brother A. Lionel, I wish you a blessed New Year 2020! - Godwin Samuel. K
