August 2017 The Mission properties are being sold at throw away prices. There is rampant corruption in the Church-run institutions. There is no integrity on the part of Christian leaders. On the other hand, self-styled ministers have increased their assets to a scale that for a normal Christian there is no Christ-like example to follow. What we need is a Bible-based revival in our personal lives and fellowships. Let us focus on personal holiness, integrity, sacrifice, simplicity and humbleness. Let us return to the Lord and He will return to us (Mal 3:7). Let us set aside days of fasting and prayer. Plead to God for your Church and fellowship. Pray for a revival. Let God's name be glorified. 2) Mission- Minded Fellowships and Churches In order that India should be blessed in our generation, every Church and fellowship should act like a mission agency. All the church leaders should be trained to this regard. Every Church, whether it is mainline, Protestant or Charismatic, should have a 'Mission Board' or a 'Mission Committee.' This team of lay leaders should aim for infusing missionary fervour in their Churches and congregations. Considerable amount of the Church budget should be spent on outreach and missionary evangelism. They should organise 'Mission Conferences' and invite missionaries from the fields. They should pioneer their own mission fields in coordination with the missionary organizations that are already working. They should also organize 'Mission Trips' for 3, 7 or 10 days and challenge the first time visitors for Missions. Traveling in India is no more a herculean task. We have flight connectivity to every major town in India and Indian Railways have bridged the unreachable places. The apostles preached the Gospel risking their lives in dangerous voyages. Today we have all the facilities, why should we wait? Let us keep moving on. 3) Personal Soul-winning Every soul is valuable to Christ. The value of one soul is equivalent to the value of the life of Jesus Christ. He died for each and every soul in the world. We should not leave the work of the ministry to the full-time ministers alone. Mary did what she could (Mk 14:8). Everyone has a ministry. As Christians we should all involve in soul-winning. In India, there are around 2 crore Christians. Assuming that there are 1 crore believers, imagine what would happen when we start sharing the Gospel to one unbeliever in a month. India can be blessed with the Gospel of Christ in 13 years if every Christian throws himself to personal Gospel sharing at the rate of one person in one month. If all the churches and church leaders in India would give emphasis to witnessing and soul- winning, then the dream of India being blessed in our generation will come true. Have you ever shared the love of Christ to your neighbour, friend or relative? Start praying for them. Share the message of love. Do not hesitate nor be afraid. Heaven and hell are real. They are not imaginary, symbolic places. Be a witness for Him! Carry always the Gospel tracts with you. If you find it hard to speak, give a tract to them. Let God minister. 4)Serving The Servants In our zeal and passion to bless the nation, we should never forget that as a Church we need to care |PAGE 10|
