Preface...
Born in Florida and raised in Colorado, I found my connection to the outdoors in my
childhood collecting insects and various reptilians and amphimbians. My father taught me
about nature, the raw beauty of the outdoors, and respecting the other various beings we
live along side of. I knew a long time ago that I would be doing something with my life that
reflected the physical world.
It wasn’t until college that I found my passion for what I currently do. The many facets of our
profession opened up the lid to pandora’s box. I found myself wanting to push limits and
untangle the idea of what Landscape Architecture is really about. I can’t say I have
even found an answer yet, but I like to believe that every story we write has a different
ending.
Truly great design is inspired by conducting research
in a realm where there is an infinite amount of data for
any situation. Which boils down to the simple phrase
“There are multiple ways of doing things...”
The question designer’s always ask,
“Have I taken enough into consideration?” The
answer is always no because you can’t. That’s what I
find beautiful about belonging to a profession where there
is always a multiplicity of solutions.
The real question I seek to answer is
“What will I do this time?”
