Abu is Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Pearson. He is also the
Chair of the UK Network for Diversity Practitioners, a quarterly
forum for discussion of best practice and ideas for senior diversity
professionals.
Abu is a Director of Wasafiri, a literary magazine at the forefront of
mapping new landscapes in contemporary international literature.
He is a Steering Committee member for DIPNET – the Diversity
in Publishing Network, which has been established to promote the
status and contributions of social groups traditionally under-represented within publishing,
as well as supporting those seeking to enter the industry.

Mark Johnson
Mark is a Network Specialist at the United Nations in Vienna,
and has been in the Internet industry for more than 20 years.
Mark has extensive experience in LAN environments, having
also performed at both a technical and educational levels as
an instructor in the Cisco Networking Academy in several
countries.
As a manager, Mark has led several projects over the years
and is Prince2 accredited. He holds industry certification
including Microsoft and Cisco.
From boardrooms in the City of London to the classrooms of Uganda, Mark maintains a
special focus on international projects which aim to tackle the digital skills gap.
