New advances in technology have made it possible to print Direct to Garment ( DTG ). DTG utilizes a specialized printer allowing an image to be printed directly onto a garment . Since this is a digital process the print is sharper and has a higher resolution than traditional printing methods such as screen printing . However , unlike screen printing , there is no long setup or clean-up process , and DTG has the ability to print lower quantities for minimal cost . Inks are completely safe and dries quickly . The ink will soak into your garment itself and become part of the shirt . That means there ’ s no chance for the graphic to crack , peel , or wash away over time .
FUSION
Fusion Heat Transfer is Boxercraft ’ s newest embellishment technique . Fusion mimics the look and feel of traditional twill applique . No sewing required ! This heat transfer technique provides excellent durability and last just as long as screen printed or embroidered decorations .
