Knit a hat – Let a child chat this Winter
NSPCC Scotland are making a big, warm, wool filled, call for
‘Bobble Hat Heroes’ to knit in support of NSPCC’s ChildLine
Service this Winter.
You can join in by either knitting a Bobble Hat and selling it to a
friend or family member for £4 or wear your brightest and warmest
bobble hat and donate £4. We hope to see lots of Bobble Hat
Heroes making our Scottish Winter brighter from 5 November right
through to Burns Night on 25 January 2016.
Share your Bobble Hat selfies with us on Twitter using
#BobbleHatHero and use the BWS text to donate number below.
So why are we asking for £4? Well, £4 funds the cost of 1 call to
ChildLine at Christmas, which can be one of the toughest times of the
year for so many children. For most children, this season is a happy
time. But for others, it can be lonely and upsetting.
Whatever their worry, and whatever the time of year, ChildLine
is here to listen. By supporting NSPCC Scotland, you’ll be
helping to ensure ChildLine is there to help when a child finds the
courage to call.
With your help we want to raise £30,000 in support of NSPCC’s
ChildLine Service. ChildLine gives children and young people
access to confidential support when they need it. It’s a special time
too as we approach a landmark 30 years of ensuring children have
someone to turn to when they are in distress or danger.
Farewell and a big THANK YOU!
This is the last month NSPCC Scotland will benefit from the support of Business Women Scotland. It will be sad not
to be in touch with you so much as before but we leave full of heart knowing that so many of you have supported our
work. We’ll still be here fighting for every childhood.
We would love to have you join us again in the future. Thank you from us all.
