Just when you thought this place could not get any better, you head into the second room. This room is smaller but does not compromise anything but square footage. Here you will find another bar and beer pong table; less intense games are held here, but just as many shots are taken. Colton is the bar tender usually running this back bar, “I work basically every night, but personally Tuesdays and Sundays are my favorite nights here”, he tells customers. Colton is sure to make you feel like you are a regular even on your first visit, so don’t hesitate to leave your tab open.
The 13th step has daily drink specials that are ideal for broke post-grads with student loans to pay off (the key to a night out in NYC). Monday through Friday you can enjoy half price off the entire bar, I repeat the entire bar, starting at 11:30AM-8:00PM. Apparently The 13th step believes there is nothing wrong with a morning cocktail to start the day off.
