On a continent that becomes more volatile day by day, photography stands
out as a way to crystallise diverse viewpoints on the changing social and
economic climate of Europe. This international symposium, sponsored
by Ffotogallery, Wales’ centre for the photographic arts, unearths lesserknown talents from across the EU to discuss ways to expand the audience

for discussion, along with a self-reflexive look at how visual representation
can hope to make a difference in challenging times through non-traditional
media.
