ate Bosse-Griffiths was a German refugee.
She was from a family of Jewish decent,
a family in which different relatives took
different paths to avoid persecution:
some hoped to be accepted by the system that was
demonising them, some tried to carry on as normal
and some got away. Kate escaped to Britain.
A passionate academic of archaeology and
Egyptology, she moved to the UK, fell in love with a
Welshman and moved to Swansea where she raised
a family and fell in love with the local language. She
lived and loved there until her death in 1998.
