I
have to admit I was nervous for this interview.
Despite the fact every single journalist who has
interviewed Brian Blessed has since written
that they didn’t have to prepare any questions
as Blessed just jumps right in and talks without the
need for any prompt, I was still worried that I might
somehow be the only person in the world that would
witness dead air in a conversation with Brian Blessed.
How do you know where to start an interview with a
man who has boxed the Dalai Lama, reached the North
Pole on foot and is the voice on your sat nav?
Looking at this list is becomes pretty clear that
Mr Blessed is a man who has not wasted a single
moment of his 77 years on this earth (as a fully
trained cosmonaut he might just get to spend several
moments outside this earth as well).
It turned out, however, that I didn’t have to worry at
all as Blessed jollily began to tell me all about Disney
In Concert – The Magical Music Of The Movies, the
show in which is playing the narrator , without me
even having to ask.
“I’ve been completely surprised by it all,” Brian admits.
“I think that it’s going to change people’s lives. I really
do. I think it’s going to be full of enchantment. I’m
more enthusiastic about this project than any other
I’ve come across. It’s going to be quite wonderful!”
The show brings together some of most famous scores
from Disney’s iconic movies. The songs will performed
