TOMOS A LILFORD
BREWERY LAUNCH
CARDIFF FESTIVAL
GETS COOKING
Foods of the world descend on Cardiff for the
city’s International Food And Drink Festival this
month. Rhianon Holley finds out what’s on the
festivals’ menu.
FOOD glorious food! Cardiff Bay will once again
be packed with delicious delights as the foodie
event of the year returns to Roald Dahl Plass. If
you’re the kind of person that hovers around
the deli counters in the supermarket, then the
Cardiff International Food And Drink Festival is
definitely for you.
From cheese and chutneys to beers and burgers,
you’ll find something to tickle everyone’s taste
buds while you’re sampling the selection of
international cuisine on offer. Or, for those of you
who prefer a local approach, there’ll be a chance
to source local produce and stock up at the
popular farmers’ market as it returns with a mix
of tasty treats.
After all the tempting tasters it’s worth taking
a break to browse the craft market and soak
up the atmosphere, listening to the musical
entertainment on the bandstand (even better if
the sunshine makes an appearance!). Or if sitting
back and relaxing is more in keeping with your
style make the most of the champagne bar and
enjoy al fresco drinking along the waterside – if
past events are anything to go by then this is one
not to be missed.
