Previously known as the University of Wales
Institute, Cardiff (UWIC), Cardiff Met is renowned
for its high level of student satisfaction. This is a
university with its eyes set on the prize of getting
its graduates properly employed with courses that
are career orientated and have been designed in
conjunction with business and industry. Through
work placement programmes, the promotion of
student entrepreneurship and opportunities to
study abroad Cardiff Met can boast that 95% of their
graduates enter employment or further study within
six months of graduation (Destination of Leavers
from Higher Education 2012). It won’t be all work,
though, as the university’s campuses are found just
outside the busy and exciting city centre.

ABERYSTWYTH UNIVERSITY
Ranked as the third best place to study in the
world by The International Student Barometer,
Aberystwyth’s Penglais campus boasts brilliant views
over both the town and the seafront. A number of
new buildings have been incorporated to include
new arts and science developments, as well as
the recently introduced Institute Of Biological,
Environmental And Rural Sciences which is funded
by the Welsh Assembly Government. A range of
fitness suites are available on-site, including a sauna
for some student downtime between your full or parttime choice of study.
