MAS MAS live River’s Edge, Cardigan Thurs 28 Aug Nestled away on the idyllic banks of the River Teifi amidst the untouched beauty of rural West Wales is River’s Edge: an exclusive creative space for Wales. It is part of the Fforest development which is a remote site of natural beauty that encourages interest in the great outdoors. Does this sound too good to be true? Well, this isn’t a holiday brochure… This month, River’s Edge will be hosting a one-off day and night of live music with an impressive bill of Welsh talent featuring Cate Le Bon, Euros Childs, Sweet Baboo, R. Also headlining is revered Seattle musician Perfume Genius [pictured] who appeared on Le Bon’s latest recording Mug Museum last year and has just announced a new album, Too Bright, with an accompanying world tour. Joining these musicians to sustain the high spirits will be DJs Andy Votel, Pete Fowler, Paul Thompson and Cam O’r Tywyllwch. So, you may have guessed that Cate Le Bon had a hand in setting up this unique gathering. Here are a few words from the organiser herself: “[I’m] thrilled to have such a wonderful throng of Welsh talent and Welsh music enthusiasts join me on the beautiful banks of the river Teifi and wildly excited to welcome the resplendent Perfume Genius into the thick of West Wales.” As if this wasn’t already enough to entice you, Cate is bringing along some limited edition 7” presses of He’s Leaving with B-side Solitude; copies she will be maki
