WALES READY FOR IRISH CHALLENGE
In the lead up to the conclusion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers , Wales host the Republic Of Ireland in a friendly match at the Cardiff City Stadium . Both teams will be looking to kick on , with Ireland still having a chance to qualify , while Wales will want to use this match as a confidence booster before the final four games . Wales , who still have a slim chance of qualifying , will hope to consolidate and turn their attention to the next campaign of European championship
qualification . The last time the two sides met in Dublin in 2011 , Giovanni Trapattoni ’ s men ran out comfortable 3-0 winners . Wales will hope to avenge that result in front of a home crowd , whilst manager Chris Coleman will be hoping his side can start to gather some momentum ahead of games against Macedonia and Serbia in September .
