As a follow up to the #buysidewomen campaign we
launched at our 7 th Annual ATF Global Summit in
February 2019, we continued with this initiative by
holding our first webinar on 28 th November.
The webinar was supported by MarketAxess and
Trading Screen and championed by Anita Karppi,
(BTC), Anju Sima (MarketAxess), Surika Vosloo
(Trading Screen), Simon Steward (Capital Group),
Kirstie MacGillivray (Kames Capital) and Lindsey Read
(GSAM). The one hour session not only covered raising
awareness of gender balance within trading but also
touched on wider topics of diversity and inclusion
including work life balance and mental health which are
issues close to many people’s hearts.
Campaign statistics:
• 73% of our buy-side members backed the campaign
• Our social media posts prompted +5300 views,
28 likes and 11 reshares
•
Plus we received an overwhelming amount of
positive comments and support during 2019
