Glenda’s father was a farmer and her mother was a home- maker. Glenda was the youngest of 10 children. She had four brothers and five sisters. The family moved to Springfield, Mo. and then to Colorado and later returned to Missouri. Even though she had many siblings, since she was the youngest, it wasn’t long before she was the only child living at home. Glenda was married for seven years to Thomas Perkins and to this union her four children were born. She was blessed with three girls and one boy. Glenda married Jack Camp in 1964. The couple moved to Kansas City, Mo. where he was a stationary engineer for an oil company and Glenda was a homemaker. After retirement, the cou- ple moved to Horton, Mo. The couple were married for a wonderful 34 years before Jack passed away in 1998. Glenda then moved to Bolivar to be close to her children. Glenda enjoys spending time with her children, Janice Pack, and her hus- band, Tom; and her son Ed Camp, and her daughter, Carroll. Glenda’s daughter, Elaine, passed away in 2008. Glenda is also blessed by her 14 grand- children and her many great grandchildren. Glenda enjoys crocheting, embroidery, and is an avid read- er. She also enjoys the study of genealogy and has enjoyed tracing back her family heritage. She is a member of the Country- side Assembly of God Church. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Glenda.
