Eunice was born into a large, loving family, having six sisters and four brothers. Her father worked in a rock quarry and her mother ran a boarding house. Eunice graduated from Henry Clay High School in 1946. She worked as a nurse aide at the Excelsior Springs Hos- pital and also worked in home care ser- vices. Eunice’s father had cancer but wanted to see his daughter get married, so they took the wedding to him. It was a very special moment for her father to be with Eunice on their wedding day. The couple moved to Haskins, Neb. where Homer worked in the Naval Am- munition Depot. Eunice became a stay at home mom to their seven children: Judy, Jeannette, Jean, David, Bonnie, Connie, and Nancy. The family later moved to Los Ala- mos, N.M., where Homer was the secu- rity inspector for the atomic energy commission. After 6 1/2 years they moved back to Nebraska. The family later would move to Weaubleau, Mo. Homer and Eunice were blessed with 66 wonderful years of marriage. The family shared memories together. Eunice is also blessed with 19 grandchil- dren and six great-grandchildren. Eunice enjoys various hobbies including reading and sewing, she loves flowers and house plants, and she enjoys listening to music. She is a member of the Weableau Christian Church.
