Holiday Tours recently celebrated
receiving their 100th Prevost motorcoach
with the delivery of fi ve new Prevost
H3-45’s. Holiday purchased their fi rst
Prevost coach in 1982 and the fi rst
H3-45 in 1991. Today the company has
a fl eet of 79 coaches, the vast majority
of which are Prevost, serving more than
50,000 passengers annually.

Leading North American transit bus
manufacturer Nova Bus starts the
year with the win of a New York
State Metropolitan Transportation
Authority (MTA) contract.
The awarded contract for Nova Bus
is for 165 – 40-foot hybrid buses (with
BAE propulsion system) with options
for 126 hybrid buses and 209 diesel
buses for a potential total amount of
up to 500 buses. Nova Bus’s superior
delivery schedule and greater New York
State Content for the hybrid buses are
qualities recognized by the Nova Bus’s
customers, and certainly contributed to
the decision of the MTA. The fi rst pilots
will be delivered in May 2020 and the rest
of the deliveries will begin in December
2020 and to be completed in 2021.

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

BYD (Build Your Dreams) announced the
delivery of 10 zero-emission, battery-
electric buses to the Toronto Transit
Commission (TTC), the largest transit
operator in Canada and the third largest
transit operator in North America. The
delivery of the 40-foot K9M buses is a
milestone for BYD, as the vehicles are
the fi rst to undergo fi nal assembly by
BYD at its 45,000-square-foot facility in
Newmarket, Ontario that is the fi rst new
electric bus plant to open in the province
in a generation. BYD’s investment in
its Newmarket plant demonstrates
BYD’s commitment to bringing bus
manufacturing jobs back to Ontario.
