Meeting to mull
over EU membership
Following well reported discussions with
leaders across Europe, the Prime Minister
has called a referendum for the people of
the UK to have their say on the country’s
membership of the EU. This is likely to be
the most significant economic event in a
generation with implications for business
owners whatever the outcome. As an
organisation representing a diverse business
community with an extremely diverse range
of views, the Chamber has chosen to take
a neutral position and instead focus on
providing our members with the information
to be able to reach their own decision
To help facilitate information sharing, a debate
on the pros and cons is planned to take place
on 28 April, featuring leading advocates from
both sides of the argument. For balance,
