We now use that on all of our designs. It’s an integrative approach, the Architect designs the building and a 3D Model
is circulated to all the other engineers, who can add to that for example electrics, mechanical & structural. It requires
all the various designers and engineers to be using it while making the building greener with less waste and enabling
us to foresee various problems before we get to them.

3D images are very helpful to the clients as many people cannot visualize the spatial awareness but
with 3D we can walk them through the entire building and it is a great tool for both sides - for us
and the client.

We are finally seeing a pattern emerging where Grenada can have an identity rather than just be a destination. Our
hotel stock is relatively small compared to other islands. Sandals has raised the bar in terms of quality properties
on island. Spice Beach Resort went through a multi million dollar upgrade. Calabash Resort is continually upgrading;
we are now seeing Silver Sands under construction as another 5 Star property and I hope we are seeing a trend
where other investments of a similar ilk will be attracted to Grenada as a more upmarket high-end destination.
Future energy efficiencies include
insulating
buildings
to
reduce
consumption of finite fossil fuels. We
constantly look for ways to reduce the
capital investment. The challenge is
encouraging people to invest in green
technology, like insulation- It may result
in increased initial capital cost but
benefits and savings are over the long
term to the client.
Construction Costs can span from $200.00-$1,000 per sq ft.
Too many factors dictate the cost of a construction project. The difference between building on flat land and on
a hillside could increase the cost by 15%.
We don’t guestimate we give our clients a cost of finishing their building to their financial and time requirements and
