You Haven’t Had a Gourmet Hot Melt Until
You’ve Had the Mule’s Gourmet Hot Melt

T
he Mule has arrived in Edmond.
The locally owned and
operated restaurant and bar,
located at 16 South Broadway, has been
a successful venture in the Plaza District
in Oklahoma City, and is known for its
gourmet hot melts and grilled cheese
sandwiches.
Joey Morris, Mule co-owner, said
coming to Edmond was a logical choice,
in part, since three of the co-ownership
group including John Harris, Cody
Rowan and Roger Eleftherakis, grew up
in Edmond or live in Edmond.
The Edmond location opened Dec. 3.
 “We always loved the downtown area,
and we thought if we were going to do it,

this would be the place that makes the
most sense,” Morris said.
Morris said the Edmond location’s
menu will be the same as the Oklahoma
City location, but with a few additions.
“We have comfort food,” he said.
“This new menu we have coming out
will have some lighter options including
a salad or two. We will be offering our
version of the club sandwich.”
Morris said the Mule has a full bar
lineup.
“We have beer, wine and liquor,” he
said. “The thing that we are known for
are our Moscow Mules. We have a ton
of local and craft beer options. We have
been able to grow our beer list thanks to
those local breweries.”
The Edmond Mule will have about
40 employees. Hours of operation are
11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to
11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Morris said despite not doing much
advertising, business has been booming
in Edmond.
“We have been filled up just about
every day,” he said. “You can’t ask for
much more than that in the restaurant
business. We are excited about that.”
The Edmond location has generated
positive reviews from customers on Yelp.
com including an Edmond woman who
listed herself as Ashlea B.
