dmond Realtor Heidi Rose was one
of 12 Realtors selected to participate
in the 2019 Oklahoma Association
of REALTORS ® Leadership Class.
The purpose of the Leadership OAR is
to identify emerging REALTOR ® leaders
and potential Association leadership;
empower those individuals to maximize
their leadership potential; encourage those
individuals to participate in Association
leadership roles; and to incorporate
those individuals into the Association’s
committee/leadership structure.
“You have to be nominated by
somebody, and supported by your board
and your broker,” said Rose, with Rose
Team Homes at eXp Realty. “There was
an interview process to see if you were
a match for leadership. There were 12
people selected from around the state.
We started in January and graduated in
October. I was quite honored to be a part
of it.”

professionals across the state by providing
comprehensive professional resources,
maintaining the highest ethical standards
and giving REALTORS ® a unified voice
in shaping Oklahoma real estate property
laws and regulations.
As Oklahoma continues to become a
sought-after locale for corporate relocation
and growth, OAR continues to meet the
needs of the real estate professionals who
put both corporations and families into
new homes every day in Oklahoma. In
2015, OAR reached membership levels
above 9,000 for the first time since 2009.
The participants of Leadership OAR
will:
• Increase their awareness of real estate
and understand the state association;
• Be involved in problem-solving activities
on issues of current interest;
• Network with leaders across the state
who are actively involved in improving
the association and profession;
• Develop team-building and leadership
skills;
• Learn to communicate clearly and
effectively;
• Understand the requirements to be an
effective leader;
• Examine management and relationship-
building principles; and
• Learn to balance life and work.
Rose said they visited various
communities in the state including Grove,
Ardmore, Stillwater and Oklahoma City.
“It brings together different Realtors
from throughout the state, and we go to
various parts of the state to see different
markets and meet with their board
organizations,” she said. “We learn things
from how to give speeches, personality
assessment, public speaking, Roberts Rules
of Order, time at the State House and
different ways of learning about our own
personalities and our strengths, and what
we needed to work on being a leader.”
Rose, her husband Todd, and daughter
Katie have been involved in the Real Estate
business for several years. All born in New
