Reeser, Payne, Chapman honored at 2019 REignite Conference & Tradeshow SPECIAL TO THE BUSINESS TIMES | PHOTOS PROVIDED O KLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS ® (OAR) presented several awards to deserving recipients during the 2019 REignite Conference and Tradeshow held in November. Among the winners were Edmond-area Realtors Brad Reeser, Krist y Payne, and David Chapman. The 2019 REALTOR ® of the Year was awarded to Brad Reeser, Edmond Board of REALTORS ® , a 40-year real estate veteran recognized for his commitment to the industry, his career and the local communities. The 2019 Life Members included Morrie Shepherd and Mike Malone, Oklahoma Cit y Metropolitan Association of REALTORS ® , for their more-than 30-year dedication and commitment to OAR. Andrea Frymire, Central Oklahoma Commercial Association of 12 January 2020 | The Business Times REALTORS ® , was honored as the 2019 Commercial Industry Advocate Award for her work to support, connect and further advance the commercial real estate industry in Oklahoma. The 2019 Oklahoma Good Neighbor Award went to Phuong Vu, Oklahoma Cit y Metropolitan Association of REALTORS ® , for his work with the Asian District Cultural Association, Krist y Payne, Edmond Board of REALTORS ® , for her work with Fostering Sweet Dreams, and Dr. David Chapman, Central Oklahoma Commercial Association of REALTORS ® , for his work with the Universit y of Central Oklahoma Foundation Real Estate Program Fund. The 2019 Harriett Wagnon Association Executive Achievement Award was presented to leader and servant Peggy Missel. “At the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS ® , we look forward to reflecting on the successes and dedication of our members each year for the opportunit y to honor their commitment to the real estate industry,” Hickok said. “These awards are of true prestige and honor recognizing those who exemplify what it means to be a REALTOR ® .” This year was one of the most successful years for the real estate industry with Oklahoma legislature passing landmark legislation to create First-Time Homebuyer Savings Accounts, develop the structure for the use of Remote Online Notary and made crucial changes to buyer inducement rules for real estate professionals. “None of the successes that came out of our State Capitol this year would be possible without the leaders in the legislature who fundamentally
