said. “We are not going to push for time. We are going to give
you all the time you need to get comfortable. We aren’t just
treating teeth. We are treating you as a person.
“Our goal is get you the healthiest that we can get you.
Whatever is happening in your mouth is affecting the rest of
your body. Once we get your mouth environment healthy, it is
going to lead to improved health throughout your whole body.”
Bender, 37, received her undergraduate biology degree from
the University of Central Oklahoma, where she was a collegiate
athlete playing women’s basketball. Soon after, she earned
her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of
Oklahoma, College of Dentistry.
Bender is an active member of the American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentists, American Dental Association, Oklahoma
Dental Association, and American Women’s Dental
Association.
In her ongoing quest to provide her patients with the
highest level of dental care, Bender furthers her skills by
participating in continuing education opportunities in the
latest dental techniques and technologies. She is currently
active in the Spears Education Center and Spears Study Club.
Bender said she welcomes patients both with and without
insurance.
“We have amazing patients,” she said. “I have tried to
find other ways within my practice to help them overcome
insurance by offering an in-office dental plan.”
Through the Give-Back-A-Smile program, Bender has
volunteered her time to helping restore the smiles of domestic
abuse victims, re-establishing their confidence and health as
they rebuild their lives. She also volunteers for Oklahoma
Mission of Mercy “OK Moms,” an annual two-day event
providing free dental care to as many adults and children as
time will allow.
“My passion is to help people be healthier,” Bender said.
“We can make a huge impact in their overall health.”
