Who will work on the app and how the USP’s will be planned
To develop the app, Active in Style will commission an outside company to work alongside Caroline to develop the app and design all the features. When the app has been
developed and is ready to launch, there will be a part time member of staff to work on
the app and update any relevant content. Using part time staff will enable the company
to curtail expensive employment costs, as developing tasks will not be required daily.
The days the member of staff will be working could potentially be changed due to different features needing addressing at different times, therefore this member of staff will
need to be flexible and willing to work on a part time contract.
The Active app will have one full time member of staff who will be the Project Manager.
This member of staff will be in charge of planning the events, organisation and
formulating of the blogger’s monthly schedule, ensuring the spots for the virtual run
are planned, and the discount code with the link to the store are working correctly. Also
tracking all sales on the website through the app, as well as managing a social media
intern who will be in charge of all Active app social media posts and assisting with the
12 months of blogging event. If the workload appears to be too much for two members
of staff, another intern will be hired for extra help. The logic behind hiring interns is
costs are lower, and if the 12 months of bloggers does not return the following year the
workload could be manageable for the full time member of staff.
Jenner McManus who is currently the Brand & Marketing Manager at Active in Style will
assist on some projects for the Active App, such as the launch and some of the blogger
months, due to particular bloggers being more in demand than others.
Caroline will be working on the virtual run planning alongside the full time member of
staff, choosing locations and testing the software.
The Active app team will work alongside the rest of the Active in Style team at the offices in Clapham, London.
