The Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau and CITGO are proud to announce the third annual Fiesta de la Flor , a signature festival honoring Tejano music superstar Selena Quintanilla on March 24-25 , 2017 at North Bayfront Park in Corpus Christi .
This year Fiesta de la Flor is proud to showcase Madame Tussauds Hollywood wax figure of Selena as well as guest appearances by actresses Jackie Cruz of hit Netflix show Orange is the New Black and Jackie Guerra of the Selena movie . The McDonald ’ s Fiesta Tour : Annual Latin GRAMMY ® Experience also will be featured at the festival . Through its relationship with the Latin Recording Academy , McDonald ’ s exclusively presents a series of consumer interactive areas that bring to life the joy and passion of Latin music . The 50-footplus exhibit consists of interior elements such as a recording studio photo booth , memorabilia displays and trivia games .
Friday night features Grammy Award winner La Mafia , Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz and more ! Saturday brings non-stop entertainment from Grammy Award Winner A . B . Quintanilla 3 y Elektro Kumbia , Adalberto and the Latin Breed , Pete Astudillo , Las Fenix , David Marez , Isabel Marie , B-Side Players , Megan Chapa and Finding Friday .
In 2016 , Fiesta de la Flor had a city-wide economic impact estimate of over $ 15 million and welcomed 55,000 attendees . Of that , 59 % were from outside of the greater Corpus Christi-area and 41 % of the total attributed to the local market .
Fiesta de la Flor hosted attendees from at least 25 states . Domestic festival-goers traveled from both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and everywhere in between . Among the international destinations represented at Fiesta de la Flor were several countries including Mexico , Guatemala , Ecuador , Peru and more .

The influx of visitors to Corpus Christi in 2016 were accommodated by every available hotel property in the city , resulting in 87.2 % overall occupancy city-wide for the weekend , an increase of 19.5 % for the same weekend in 2015 . Hoteliers also enjoyed increased ADR ( average daily rates ) of over 29 % and increased RevPar ( revenue per available room ) averages of nearly 53.7 % over the same weekend in 2015 .
