he United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation is proud to announce
the Coastal Bend Home Builders Association Parade of Homes as the new presenting
sponsor of Lemonade Day Coastal Bend, set to take place for the 6th consecutive year on
Saturday, May 12, 2018. The Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of
the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, strives to develop and empower leaders
and entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in Corpus Christi.
The Coastal Bend Home Builders Association is a non-profit association of professionals,
committed to the home building industry, affiliated with the Texas Association of Builders
and the National Association of Home Builders. They are a unified voice and resource
which provides education to their members and the community and promotes the value
and benefits of new home construction.
Lemonade Day is a nationwide educational initiative that introduces youth to entrepreneur-
ship, teaching them how to start, own, and operate their own business- through the hands-
on experience of running a lemonade stand on May 12. Youth set goals, create plans, and
work their plans to achieve success. They earn real money and use 100% of their profit to
spend, save, and share based on their goals. Along the way, youth build self-esteem and
new mindsets that can propel them to success they may have not pursued otherwise.
