“It’s one of those feeds where if you get
them started on it, they won’t hardly eat
anything else because they love it,” says
Javey. He shared a little inside information
on the recipe.
But feed is not the only thing that attracts
customers to Triple J Feed, says Jamie.
“A lot of our customers aren’t even here
for feed. They’re here for Javey’s hunting
and tracking systems, dog collars and
things like that,” she says.
Inside Triple J, customers can find a
variety of tools and gadgets for themselves
and their canine hunting partners.
“Coon hunters, hog hunters - Javey is
the only person around with stuff for these
hunters,” Jamie says.
The walls of Triple J’s store front are slap
full of dog collars, hunting and tracking
systems, cut-proof dog vests, “big cut
collars” and much more.
With dog-tracking GPS systems that cost
anywhere from $700 to $3,000, Javey has
people coming in for top of the line tools
and systems for hunters and their dogs.
He also services these systems for
customers, allowing them to drop their
items off at the store for him to repair, Jamie
says.
“He’s got all kinds of hunting and
tracking systems, shock systems for people
that work cow dogs, hunting systems,
Garmin dog GPS, so much that you can’t
find around here, other than Javey,” says
proud Jamie. “This is a huge business for
him as much as his feed business. He has a
thriving feed and dog business.”
The couple’s Center location has been so
successful they decided to open a second
location in Timpson. The Timpson Triple
J has been open for a year now and is
continuing to thrive just as their first store
does.
“Javey and my daddy run this one in
Center, and Javey’s daddy runs the one
in Timpson. We are family owned and
family operated,” says Jamie. By producing
unique feed lines along with niche products
for hunters, the couple feels their future is
bright.
