Happy New Year , Friends !
Welcome to the first 2024 edition of Business Growth Connections Magazine . We are so excited to share this special issue with you , and here ’ s hoping that your New Year ’ s resolutions include becoming more cybersecure , because we ’ re ready to help make it happen for you this year .
We would like to first open with gratitude and express how honored we are to have been chosen to feature on the cover of Cybersecurity Magazine . We are truly blessed to be highlighted in such a reputable and engaging industry publication .
This brings us back to our magazine because we hope to make this publication to you what Cybersecurity Magazine is to us : a powerful tool for making business decisions around the everyday and in the cyber realm .
In this issue , you ’ ll find articles from serial entrepreneur , investor , and TV personality Robert Herjavec ; ghSMART Chairman and Founder Geoff Smart ; and the entrepreneur behind three multi-million-dollar companies and author of numerous business books , Mike Michalowicz . First , Herjavec , in our cover feature , speaks on building your ragsto-riches story with actionable tips on page 4 . After that , you ’ ll find our customer success story on page 8 . Geoff Smart then reviews negative archetypes to look out for in potential employees on page 10 , and on page 12 , Michalowicz goes over how to earn more by adopting a service rather than a selling mindset . Finally , on page 15 , we find out how cyber thieves are mimicking the brands you trust to gain access to your personal and financial information .
Speaking of cyber thieves , we are continuing to expand our security — including XDR — and compliance offerings to help you combat these virtual criminals . What this means for you is better protection when you need it . If you have regulatory requirements that apply to your organization , we ’ re now better prepared to meet them .
Ultimately , these changes put us in a better position to formalize your risk . We ’ ve got new and improved frameworks now to assist us in offering you tailored solutions , rather than just throwing recommendations around and seeing what sticks .
We ’ re also in the process of getting vCISO certified , a designation that will enable us to provide the services of a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer to your organization . We ’ ll officially announce details of this new service offering in the spring , so more on that in the next issue .
Now , just before we close , we would like to thank everyone who attended our speaking engagement at the Indiana Library Federation ( ILF ) conference this past November . We were humbled to have had the opportunity to present on the top things organizations should be thinking about around cybersecurity . We hope you were able to go home with a valuable takeaway , and we ’ d love to hear how you applied it to your organization .
