Welcome To this Mother and Daughter Special Edition of Business Fit Magazine Hello, I am Verónica Sosa, Founder of Business Fit International and Business Fit Magazine. I am pleased and excited to be in collaboration with my dear friend Vikki. As a mother myself and as a fellow International Speaker and Business Expert, we have travelled the world together and have the same values. I started Business Fit Magazine as a supportive platform which creates additional awareness of exceptional achievements, services and products from female entrepreneurs. The core essence of these businesses being to help build a better world, one where our children can live in harmony. I work hard for the recognition of women in the world, day and night and I work for equality, for the female power and her natural sensuality, for the female intelligence both in heels and without them. I am the Founder of SHE, (Seminaro Hispanas Emprendedoras) a platform which encourages women to shout out loud their talents, businesses and contributions to the world. We have welcomed speakers such as Ismael Cala, who is one of the most well-known leaders in the Hispanic personal development arena. On 12 October we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary in Brussels with other inspirational speakers who are developing and bringing amazing tools to our world. SHE is produced annually and is a place where you can surround yourself with great entrepreneurs. I believe that women can collaborate, learn and teach each other. I believe in #togetherisbetter. Therefore, I am totally supportive of Vikki’s vision and her aim to make a difference to the mothers and daughters in the world through her events and teachings. Verónica Sosa 2 Hello, I am Vikki Thomas and from my heart I also welcome you to this Mother and Daughter Special Edition of Business Fit Magazine, the story behind Mother & Daughter Inc Workshops and Events and its origin can be found inside, here I am sharing the inspiration behind this magazine. Verónica Sosa and I have been friends for over three years and she truly is a soul sister to me. I love her deeply. I have supported her with the magazine as much as I could over these years, I see how hard she works to deliver the messages of all the contributors and is really making a difference. I see the good things that happen and the not so good. I also am a true believer of her motto “Together is Better”. During our last speaking tour together, I had a brain wave, a download I call it. I am using every cell in my body, every manifesting thought ensuring that I deliver the most valuable teaching to mums and daughters out there. I have a large global network of people developed from three years speaking on stages all over the world. So why not look at supporting Business Fit and Verónica by launching a Special Edition Magazine in Los Angeles, (where I am holding my Mother & Daughter event) and support and showcase mums and daughters globally, where they can share their stories of hardship, success, struggle, whatever it may be, and I will fund the whole process. Everyone thought I was mad! However, I downloaded the whole picture of what a success this will be, for all involved. I used social media to find the interviewees. I had many people from all over the world reach out to me, many that saw a FREE opportunity and tried to use it to showcase their business and to make money. That is not what this is about. This is about giving women and girls a voice to inspire others out there. I went with my soul in finding the right contributors and I am very happy. I was also looking for a wide range of stories and I am blessed to have Raquel and Rhyan involved. This connection is a true representation of my belief of always taking opportunities when the universe presents them to you, if they feel right. Which is a message to mums and daughters as well. I am a founding partner of a Business Immigration company and attended a large annual immigration conference in Geneva with one of my business partners. It was there that I met Allen, Raquel’s husband, the PM of St Lucia and later in the day met Raquel. We exchanged contact details and they invited my family and I to visit them. I took up the offer. So, in August 2017 my husband and I and our two children were sharing time on their boat travelling around the island of St Lucia and there I also met Rhyan and Michael, Allen’s father. Michael, I keep in contact with often and when I told him what I was thinking he suggested Raquel. It coincided with the big celebrations of St Lucia's 40th year of Independence as well, so it was meant to be. I strongly believe that nothing in life is a coincidence. As the commissioner of this Special Edition magazine I want to say how much I respect all the contributors who we have showcased in these pages. They have faced many challenges and hardships and have created a bond between mother and daughter. The theme throughout them all is very inspiring for both the adult and child readers. Some of my favourite quotes from the articles are: • Kill the bullies with kindness. • Be nice to your mom if she cares about you, not everyone gets a good mom. Verónica Sosa Publisher • I love who I am and who I am becoming, and I wouldn’t want to be anyone else even if I could be. • Follow your heart as people will hate you and judge you regardless of what you do – so just do it. • Never be afraid to show your true colours. • Be proud of yourself and others will too. • Be unapologetically you. Most of these are from the teenage girls themselves and it makes me smile hearing these wise words from them. Every contributor is an inspiration to me and I love them all. However, I also know that many teenage girls are closed characters locking up their feelings and emotions, thriving for perfection, a product of today’s societal expectations. I believe that many, not all, teenage girls have the information and resources but lack the confidence and experience in life, by which, I mean true inner confidence, not external. They have the connection with the internet and social media, but many lack real authentic communication. They have what they call friends, but do they have a tribe? They may come across as productive but are they accountable? They understand expenses and how to spend money, but do they understand investment? That is why I am working with mothers and teenage daughters together. Helping them to grow and bond whilst shifting mindsets to help support them in today’s society and lead the next generation.
