Conscious
Leadership
– Empowering, Inspiring and Creating Change
Working with corporate leaders and
entrepreneurs Artemis Evangelidi explains
how Conscious Leadership can be applied in
business and the five key attributes required to
achieve it.
It is safe to say that we are living in some very
exciting times. The winds of change are well
upon us and archaic structures are rapidly being
dismantled to make way for the new.
As a result, our mindsets are shifting,
our experiences are expanding and our
consciousness is rising, shining a light on the
leaders around us – in our homes, in our
communities, in our businesses and in our
governments.
Leadership that had, at its foundation, fear,
control, misinformation, miscommunication
and a disregard for the world around us has
been recognised for what it is – unconscious,
unmindful and unwanted. Our inherent need
to work from a place of love as we approach
all tasks with compassion and mindfulness –
recognising the interconnectedness of it all
- has ushered in the new era of Conscious
Leadership.

And for those of you who still feel that this could
not possibly apply to business, allow me to
introduce you to some Conscious Leaders you
already know. From Anita Roddick, to Richard
Branson. From Paul Polman to Tory Burch.
From Ariana Huffington to Oprah Winfrey. The
list is expansive and it is a list filled with success,
innovation and inspiration.
As someone who has spent the better part
of 20 years in the commercial corporate
world, I am not only an advocate for
Conscious Leadership having
seen first-hand how it works,
but I have dedicated
my life over the past
six years and will
continue to do
so, assisting
people all
Leadership that knows that every action, thought
and reaction is impacting the field around us.
Leadership that recognises the impact every
small and large response can have. Leadership
that values each person’s unique qualities,
their purpose, their knowledge and what they
can contribute to the team. Leadership that
empowers, inspires and paves the way for
change agents to step forward and do their work
– supported and loved.
over the world to integrate these principles into
their daily lives.
Conscious Leadership has at its core, first and
foremost, key elements of personal development.
We must first work on ourselves before we can
integrate change elsewhere. We look at things
such as courage, ego, fear, freedom, faith,
gratitude, happiness, success, creativity, our
presence and love as our driving force. We go
deep to see what we want to work on, what we
need to let go of or bring more of on our journey.
Our overall aim is to free ourselves from past
conditioning that we no longer need as well as
other people’s expectations and judgements so
we can love and respect ourselves as needed.
Then, and only then, we can begin to integrate
all of this to achieve the five key attributes of the
Conscious Leader.
