Interview
Award winning architect, entrepreneur,
athlete and international public speaker
Tania Arrayales Rodríguez is an advocate
for Sustainable Architecture and through her
company Green Habitat project and her non-
profit project Green Habitat Preservation is on
a mission to help people live in balance and
harmony with nature.
Who are you?
My name is Tania Arrayales Rodriguez and I was
born in North America. My curiosity has led me to
discover many cultures in several countries and
fall in love with the food, architecture, temples,
songs and sunsets around the world.
My ancestors were brave women and men
from the area of Teotihuacan near Mexico City
where the Sun and Moon pyramids were built
thousands of years ago.
When I travel around the world, I discover cities
by walking the streets and eating where the
locals eat. I love getting lost and let the time pass
as my senses discover the smells and colours of
the cities and nature. I always find sacred and
special spaces to contemplate nature and calm
the mind so I can develop my vision and map my
next steps in business and life.

What is the single best piece of
business advice which helped
shape who you are now and
Why?
Innovate and take action. The key is to always
keep improving your ideas and moving them in
the direction of progress. Measure your results
regularly to make all the necessary changes on
your path because no one gets it right first time.
Always have mentors. Life development and
business need planning and a large amount
of reality to move in the correct direction.
Sometimes it is not the same direction you
wanted to go and that’s why listening to others
who have walked the same road as you can save
you time and effort.
Simplify your life. In my 15 years as an
entrepreneur and architect I have seen many
people trying to open doors in the most
complicated way. Always ask yourself how you
can make your life and projects easier and more
practical. Remember that entrepreneurship, in
most cases, is about solving problems in a way
Always keep
improving
your ideas and
moving them in
the direction of
progress
which is unique and efficient. It is about learning
to transform and adapt to a better outcome, so
reinvent yourself and don’t be afraid to expose
and give life to that crazy idea which is in your
head.
What is your definition of
success? How did you finally
know you had succeeded in
your business?
Success is related to the way we answer to life.
It is having a magical power to align mind, body
and spirit with the reality you want to see in front
of you.
The first step to being successful is to define
how it looks for you and then map out on a
vision board what do you need to overcome
to achieve that reality. The second step is to
always remember where you are going, with life
distractions and social pressure it can be easy
to compromise your vision unless you have an
everyday reminder and take the necessary steps
to stay on it and be loyal.
Does “Balance” in life exist for
you? If so, how do you achieve
it?
Balance is an everyday achievement for me.
I have my rituals to keep myself in alignment.
When I wake up I play music whch inspires me
and I set a high vibration for the day. I think about
food in terms of cravings and I make sure I eat
what makes me happy (like avocado and mango).
I go to the beach every day and contemplate
the ocean, I have found that living near water is
essential for my peace and to achieve a blissful
existence.
