Interview Success is about having the freedom to do what you want happy throughout the day whilst I do any task. I love getting makeovers - hair, nails, massage. I swim regularly too. We have also discovered spirituality which enables us to become more magnetic to opportunities, influencers, wealth and abundance - since we did a spirituality course with Martina Coogan - the CEO of Mystery School in London. What is the secret of making Speakers Are Leaders a success? Harry: The secret is having unique, innovative, experiential learning techniques which produce outstanding results in 24 hours for our clients - who have a huge problem - the fear of public speaking. In order to take our lives to the next level and create a better world we need fearless unstoppable leaders. This is what we create at Speakers Are Leaders. The fear of speaking was showing up in relationships, in the workplace, in business. When you release that fear of speaking, anything becomes possible for our clients. Lily: The secret sauce is fast visible results and FUN - we create memorable, really entertaining events. People feel the energy of it for months to come after the event. The impact is incredible! How can someone use personal branding to monetise their knowledge? Harry: For many years I was working in Spain as a webmaster before I moved to London. I found out one day I was being paid half what the person next to me earned, even though we 36 were doing the same job, because my personal branding was very poor. I had long hair, ripped jeans, never wore a shirt or a suit. That’s when I realised the impact of poor branding. When I became an author, my personal branding was elevated. I was invited to speak everywhere, people were wowed in my presence, I was invited to speak about my book on the same stage as Tony Robbins spoke at National Achievers Congress. Every time I spoke, I was attracting everyone to me. system. It’s about being positive, being helpful, solving a problem for people with money, who have a willingness to pay for it. It also comes down to enhancing perceived value - perhaps by writing a book or by improving the product, making the product addictive - by having an extraordinary result - which creates recurring clients and raving testimonials and generates a huge demand for what you are offering. It’s important to ask for the sale and have the courage and the right techniques to ask for it. Lily: I worked as a nanny when I arrived in London. I would go to personal development courses and have interesting conversations with people, but they were not interested in socialising with me afterwards when they knew what I did for a living. As soon as I became an author, I became a magnet for people and opportunities. I found my soulmate - Harry - right after becoming an author. I doubled the price of the English courses I was selling as a result of being an author. My credibility and authority increased, and I managed to close more sales in Harry’s property business as a result of it. How can someone use leadership in their business? When you are an author of a great book and you have a great brand and a great image in person and online you become a magnet for opportunities, influencers, business deals. You become investable and attractive for everything you desire. You then can turn the same book into multiple streams of income - a physical workshop or seminar, a course, an audiobook. Lily: When you invest in creating leadership in your organisation, people take more initiative and more responsibility for their jobs and for the outcome of their work, so you create a profitable business. How can someone reach peak performance in sales? Harry: Hire people who are better than you. Keep them motivated, hire and train them well and continuously. Speak to them, care about them as a person outside of work. Encourage competition and motivate them with performance driven commissions. Harry: Our programs - Entrepreneurs AreLeaders.com and Speakers Are Leaders are about creating a community of entrepreneurs with a global vision to create a better world. When you create a code of honour in your company which involves teamwork, leadership, support, and you make your team aware of the difference they are making in the world, you will get enhanced results and productivity. We are on a global mission to create innovative businesses which create more jobs globally so we can eliminate poverty in the world.
