He is President of Cala Enterprises Corporation. that on top of my list, my biggest challenge was to create a mentality where I transformed surprise, into mindful anticipation. Onecrazan and I had the opportunity to meet him last year at S.H.E. Seminar for Hispanics Entrepreneurs in Amsterdam and since then we are his number one fans. What challenges has Ismael faced as an entrepreneur? Wow! That would be an infinite list (laugh). Because, you know, when you become an entrepreneur, you have to be a magician. That’s my concept. Why? Because the economy has changed so much in the last couple of years, in the last decade maybe, and now we live in a world that, you know, two decades ago I was waving the military, the US military coin and acronym for the world we are living in and that’s V.U.C.A. Volatility, its Uncertainty, its Complexity and it is, because the world is becoming more Ambiguous, every time. And it’s true! We live in a world that is totally unpredictable. Why? Because technology has changed the rules of engagement for every industry and for every business. So, to be an entrepreneur, my challenge was to kind of keep my psychology positive. You know, to say “Ok, Ismael, nothing will last forever.” You have to ask the questions every single day, because the world is always changing. You have to ask the question, “What is your business today?”, “What will be your business tomorrow?” Because it will change. Yes, it is, it is so difficult because to tell you the truth, our brain and how we think, is key. That why I study neurosciences a lot. psychology and emotional intelligence or the why behind what we do. In every single task that you want to accomplish in life, 80% is not about the mechanics of what you need to know specifically to accomplish the task and that’s important, but 80% is about the psychology - or specifically your mindset. So, my investment, you know, has been “Ok, Ismael, how do you create a powerful mindset to do everything you want?” and in asking that, you know the fears, what’s needed the correct mindset, your own brain doing the work and understanding that the most difficult to do is, not to learn something. The most difficult thing for any human being is to be ready to unlearn, what is already obsolete, what is out dated and you must update anything that is www.BusinessFitMagazine.com
