In this sense, it is important for organizations to differentiate between leadership and management concepts. Management is based primarily on processes. Leadership focuses primarily on behavior. Management depends to a large extent on tangible and measurable capacities, such as effective planning; The use of the organization’s systems; And the use of appropriate communication methods. Leadership, on the other hand, depends above all on less tangible and less quantifiable things like trust, inspiration, attitude, decision-making, and personal character. The standards for management systems of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) establishes seven principles centered on Leadership.
