In this sense, it is important for
organizations to differentiate
between
leadership
and
management
concepts.
Management is based primarily
on
processes.
Leadership
focuses primarily on behavior.
Management depends to a
large extent on tangible and
measurable capacities, such
as effective planning; The use
of the organization’s systems;
And the use of appropriate
communication methods.
Leadership, on the other hand,
depends above all on less
tangible and less quantifiable
things like trust, inspiration,
attitude,
decision-making,
and personal character. All of
them necessary to motivate an
organization to achieve the goals that have been established.
How do we achieve these goals? How do we achieve sustained success?
The standards for management systems of the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) establishes seven principles
centered on Leadership. Through this article, I share two of these
principles, which will help you achieve the success that you undertake
for your business and that it will last in time.

“Leaders at all levels establish the unity of purpose and direction, and
create conditions in which people are involved in achieving the goals
of the organization.”
How to create the conditions to incentivize our collaborators through
this principle?
John Maxwell teaches us in his book “Developing the Leader Within
You” to break with a myth of leadership: “Leaders are born, they are
not made,” because you can learn to lead. Therefore, “The Leaders are
made, not born.”
For this, it is important that:
