as engineering and maintenance . The company reported a net revenue of $ 11.84bn in 2017 , which represents a 10.3 % decrease in revenue compared to the previous year . The airline ’ s profits also shrank by over $ 15mn in comparison to 2016 , although these figures represent a return to profitability after reported losses of $ 273mn in 2015 . According to ABC News , Qantas put this down to government-owned foreign carriers having added a “ giant wave ” of seats .

Caltex Australia

$ 13.12bn | caltex . com . au Caltex Australia is Australia and New Zealand ’ s largest oil and gas company , with a reported annual revenue of $ 13.12bn in 2017 . This represents

a more than $ 1.5bn reduction in revenue over 2016 , but company profits rose by over $ 50mn . Caltex Australia ’ s recent acquisition of a 20 % stake in the leading independent oil and gas company in the Philippines , SEAOIL , is purported to be good news for New Zealand consumers . Caltex also purchased New Zealand ’ s own Gull Oil in 2016 . Mark Stockdale of AA Petrolwatch asserted this “ potentially could be good news for Kiwi motorists if it means that Gull have the funding of a large parent company to expand ”.
