According to ABC News , Qantas put this down to government-owned foreign carriers having added a “ giant wave ” of seats .

Caltex Australia ’ s recent acquisition of a 20 % stake in the leading independent oil and gas company in the Philippines , SEAOIL , is purported to be good news for New Zealand consumers . Caltex also purchased New Zealand ’ s own Gull Oil in 2016 . Mark Stockdale of AA Petrolwatch asserted this “ potentially could be good news for Kiwi motorists if it means that Gull have the funding of a large parent company to expand ”.
