FRIENDS are so much FUN
Ric and Jackie Carr are members of NSRA’s Safety Division. They have
been the “go-to guys” for the NSRA inspections at all our area events for
twenty years. Since the state of California is always looking for ways (or
reasons) to pull our classic cars off their roads and highways, the National
Street Rod Association (since 1972) has made this one of their main goals
in life—to Save our Classics, Vintage, and Antique Vehicles .
By having your car inspected by professionals it is the hope that the State
of California will continue to allow these vintage beauties for our history
and our pleasure.
These inspections are completely voluntary ,
and Completely
FREE.
There is no Pass or Fail.
The Safety Inspections are only to continue keeping you safe and to
prove to the State of California that our Vintage Classics are not Polluters.
If you missed the inspection at Maxwell’s—never fear—there will be other
occasions that you may visit and be rewarded. Every rod that passes the
16-point inspection will receive (for the windshield) an NSRA Vehicle
Safety Inspection Certification Sticker. Rods that pass the recommend-
ed 23-point inspection will also earn a “Safety 23” sticker.
It’s a great idea to know what problems may lay ahead. You’ll be better
equipped to prepare, or fix, and to know that your vehicle will not be
the cause, or part of the State of California’s Polluter Removal Programs.
