VETERANS MEMORIAL PLAZA
The Veterans Memorial Plaza is at 298 E . Renfro St ., near the corner of Renfro Street and Interstate 35 West . The city-owned plaza includes a fountain surrounded by bricks engraved with the names of local service members ; the bronze eagle and Purple Heart memorial that were unveiled in 2009 ; and the names of veterans from World War I , World War II , Korea and Vietnam from the Johnson County Veterans Monument that were added in 2010 . A POW monument was added in 2011 .
Additions to the plaza in 2018 include a bronze Soldier ’ s Cross and a bronze plaque commemorating all branches in all foreign wars .
The plaza has a foundation , an interactive kiosk to locate veteran bricks and park benches .
EMERGENCY SERVICES
The Burleson Fire Department is comprised of three fire stations . Station One , centrally located at 828 S . W . Alsbury Blvd ., was dedicated in 2003 and is home to the department ’ s administrative offices and command staff .
Station Three , built in 2009 , is at 245 Lakewood Drive in the western area of Burleson and houses Engine 3 and a brush truck .
Station 16 opened in October 2021 and is located at 250 E . Hidden Creek Parkway , near the intersection of East Hidden Creek Parkway and South Dobson St . This station houses the city ’ s emergency operations center . For non-emergency situations , call 817-426-9170 . Starting in October 2023 , Burleson Fire and EMS began running an in-house ambulance service .
The Burleson Fire / EMS Department ’ s ambulance fleet will include three units and a reserve ambulance deployable as needed .
