Careity social workers are available to help patients with the support that they need to push through each of the next days that they face . Nurse cancer navigators help and enable patients throughout their cancer treatment , no matter how many months or years that may be . Careity licensed dieticians keep patients healthy in order for them to get through their treatment . A Careity psychotherapist and chaplain helps not only the patient but their families too . Medical massage therapy , reflexology and acupuncture programs also play a huge part in alleviating some of the anxiety .
CAREITY BREAST CARE
Careity offers free early detection and a critical comprehensive , indepth program for patients who are diagnosed . Access to their team of physicians for consults and surgery is rapid . Within 48 hours of diagnosis , patients are contacted by a Patient Coordinator .
EVENTS
Careity ’ s main event each year is the Careity Celebrity Cutting . Since 1995 , this event has brought together international celebrities from all walks of life for an evening of fun , thrills and philanthropy . Sports figures , physicians , popular musicians and actors ... all are volunteers .
A 27-year affiliation with the National Cutting Horse Association has allowed Careity to raise funds , build relationships with celebrities and several long-time media partners . During the last several years , Taylor and Nicole Sheridan of “ Yellowstone ” have opened even greater opportunities for Careity .
New to Careity this year is the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo . They will be partnering with Careity Foundation for their much anticipated “ Pink Night ” at the Rodeo on Jan . 25 , 2022 .
At Careity they are always trying to think outside of the box and be creative , continuing to hit home runs that allow Careity to be there to save lives and ease pain for cancer patients . Careity provides over 7,600 services in North Central Texas , through Careity clinical locations in Tarrant , Parker , Johnson , Hood and Palo Pinto counties .
Services include cancer navigation , dietician services , nutritional supplements , mammograms , diagnostics , biopsies , surgeries , psychotherapy , social worker , and chaplain service , as well as medical massage therapy , reflexology and acupuncture .
In 2020 , Careity provided $ 3 million in direct patient services , with 7,600 patient visits that year . Over $ 4 million chemotherapy grants were provided in 2020 .
Careity exists to provide direct care that saves lives , gives hope , eases pain , and allows cancer patients and families to focus on healing .
