from 10 a . m . until 2 p . m . Docents will tell stories of the families who lived here and demonstrate how the house grew from the original three-room home to the much larger home it is today .
HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS
Visitors will be treated to a wide range of historical artifacts , such as a 1918 Edison Victrola and an icebox that preceded present day refrigerators . Additionally , the several buildings comprising the Russell Farm contain many works of art , including sculptures , paintings , and other artwork . Some of the sculptures are work of the renowned artist , Charlie Boren , who owned the property until he and his wife , Louise , donated it to the City . Local artists will be on site , working on their own creations .
BUILDING RENTAL
Several buildings at Russell Farm can be rented for parties , weddings , company picnics , meetings , reunions or other group functions . Community gardening has attracted both beginner and experienced gardeners to Russell Farm where they can rent a gardening plot and share their know-how and interest in raising vegetables and flowers , alongside others , during the growing season .
You can also just visit the farm and enjoy a picnic or other function that does not involve any cost or rental of any buildings .

COMMUNITY EVENTS
The Russell Farm historical site also hosts a variety of community events each year , such as an Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas at the Farm . The facilities are also available to be rented for special occasions . Story Time is held at 11 a . m . every Friday in the Community Garden area . Children can run and play in the outdoor space . Gardening classes are also available for all ages . Field trips can be taken to Russell Farm to learn about history , agriculture and art .
