The mission of Burleson ISD is to engage and support every learner with a rigorous curriculum so that they graduate college and career ready . Their vision is for every learner to graduate with 21st Century problem solving and reasoning skills , ready to embrace their dynamic future . BISD serves more than 12,500 students at 18 campuses and employs about 1,800 staff .
Superintendent Bret Jimerson has lead the helm of Burleson ISD since 2013 . He and his wife , Paige , have three daughters and a son attending schools in the Burleson ISD .
The board of trustees consists of seven members elected to serve , without compensation , for three years each . Elections are conducted in May every year . While candidates run for specific places , each represents Burleson ISD at large .
