The building is the site of Burleson ’ s first concrete floor , which is still there , and the first electric light bulb .
In 2010 , the Burleson Heritage Foundation moved the restored # 330 Rail Car to a pad site next to the Burleson Visitors Center . That pad site also contains four kiosks that detail the history of Burleson .

BURLESON ANIMAL SERVICES The city of Burleson Animal Services Division provides animal care and control services for residents living within the city limits of Burleson and animal adoption services to the greater Burleson community .
Animal Services responds to calls regarding stray animals , nuisance animals , animal bites , animal welfare , lost or found animals , and animal surrender or adoption . The staff also responds immediately to an injured animal , wild or aggressive animal and loose livestock .
Get involved by becoming a walker , caretaker or by helping keep the shelter clean . Become a foster parent to pets that aren ’ t old enough to be adopted or donate items to make an abandoned animal ’ s stay at the shelter more comfortable .

SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER
The Burleson Senior Activity Center , formerly home to the Burleson Public Library , is at 216 S . W . Johnson Ave .

Renfro St ., near the corner of Renfro Street and Interstate 35 West . The city-owned plaza includes a fountain surrounded by bricks engraved with the names of local service members ; the
bronze eagle and Purple Heart memorial that were unveiled in 2009 ; and the names of veterans from World War I , World War II , Korea and Vietnam from the Johnson County Veterans Monument that were added in 2010 . A POW monument was added in 2011 .
Additions to the plaza in 2018 include a bronze Soldier ' s Cross and a bronze plaque commemorating all branches in all foreign wars .
The plaza has a foundation , an interactive kiosk to locate veteran bricks and park benches .
CASA of Johnson County believes that no child should have to navigate through the foster care system by themselves .
